CT Scanning

Dr. CameronSpecial CT Scanning (computerized tomography) is now routinely available in our facility for your surgical planning.  The i-CAT Cone Beam 3-D Dental Imaging System provides high-definition, in office digital imaging of the oral and facial regions.  These 3-dimensional radiographs are the forefront of technology.  They allow much more precise pre-surgical planning.  The scan takes approximately 20 seconds and provides hospital quality studies with low radiation.

These scanners are specially made for dentistry and oral and maxillofacial surgery.  There are many uses for CT scanning as referred by your general dentist or other specialist, such as

  • For implant surgery, these studies will further refine the precise placement of implants.  The identification of important anatomic structures will improve implant longevity and help minimize complications of surgery.
  • For orthodontic diagnosis and treatment planning
  • For definitive diagnosis of abnormal tooth positions and treatment of impacted teeth.
  • For more precise treatment  of pathology in the jaw

CT ScanOur staff will assist you with scheduling your consultation and CT scan.
